Here are the real methods that actually work, typical sizing in Singapore, and the one option that removes the guesswork entirely: bring us whatever you've got and we'll take it from there.
The Borrowed-Ring Method — With One Real Correction
The classic advice is to borrow a ring she wears on her ring finger and measure it. In practice, most women don't actually wear a ring on that specific finger day-to-day — it's far more common to find one on the index finger instead. That's still useful: bring whatever ring she does wear regularly, on any finger, along with a rough sense of her hand size, and we can work from that as a solid estimate — not a perfect match, but a genuine starting point. Every bespoke ring can be resized afterward regardless.
At-Home Methods That Need No Special Tools
- ► Paper tracing — trace the inner edge of a ring she wears using a fine pencil or pen, not a thick marker; a thick line can throw the size off by more than it looks
- ► String or dental floss — wrap it snugly around a borrowed ring's inner edge (or a similar finger of your own for comparison), mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres
- ► A soft impression — press the ring gently into a bar of soap, a block of wax, or soft clay, and bring the impression in — we can measure the mould directly

What Ring Size Is Typical In Singapore?
As a general reference from our own client base: finger sizes we most commonly work with range from about US 4.5 on the slighter end to US 6 for a broader or more athletic build — every hand is genuinely different, so treat this as a starting reference, not a rule. If you're estimating without a borrowed ring at all, sizing toward the middle of that range and resizing afterward is a safer bet than guessing at either extreme.
